Citizenship Rubric (9/5/00)
Below you will find the rubric you as a class came up with for the citizenship
ratings for this class.
Please remember the thing being judged is CITZENSHIP (specifically citizenship
as defined below by the members of this class) NOT participation. You will
note that the list below requires much more than what we usually think
of as "class participation."
A 4.0 citizen of this class:

Is professional and respectful.

Is original.

Communicates well.

Interrupts judiciously.

Lets others' ideas be fully stated before speaking.

Does not monopolize the conversation.

Is concise.

Comes to class prepared.

Is courteous.

Hears other people's opinions, and doesn't just hold her/his own ground
or issues.

Is open-minded.

Is an active member of the class.

Sticks to the arguments and doesn't make personal attacks.
A 3.0 citizen of this class:

exhibits most of the above, but exhibits some important problem spots.
A 2.0 citizen of this class:

exhibits some of the 4.0 behaviors but also a fair number of the 0.0 behaviors.
A 1.0 citizen of this class:

exhibits behaviors much closer to the 0.0 type than the 4.0 type.
A 0.0 citizen of this class:

is rude and obnoxious.

Is late a lot without just cause.
